European aluminium profile systems for windows, doors and facades
Alutech is a European group founded in 1996 that manufactures architectural aluminium profile systems — windows, doors, facades and partitions — alongside roller shutters, sectional doors and the automation that operates them. It supplies fabricators across more than forty countries, including North America.
Like Cortizo and Reynaers, Alutech is a system supplier rather than a window manufacturer. It designs and extrudes the profiles, gaskets and hardware interfaces; fabricators then cut and assemble them into finished units for a specific opening. That is why the same system can produce very different-looking windows.
The group runs its own extrusion, powder coating and anodising, which matters for finish consistency across a large project and for lead times on non-standard colours.
461 East New York Avenue, Brooklyn — Alutech W72 windows rated AW80 with Solarban 60 argon-filled glass, plus commercial storefront doors, fabricated to architect specification on a new mixed-use building.
25 Franklin Boulevard, Long Beach — Alutech tilt-and-turn windows on the most exposed elevations of an oceanfront building on the Long Beach boardwalk, alongside custom double-hungs and Crystal units, all glazed with Solarban 60.
408 Lefferts Avenue, Prospect Lefferts Gardens — the largest Alutech installation on this site: every window on a new six-storey residential building plus the ground-floor storefront, designed with the architect of record, thermally broken frames and low-e units for the NYC energy code, acoustic Oldcastle glass for a busy corner.
2 Bushwick Avenue, Williamsburg — continuous curved ribbons of storefront and curtain wall on all three floors of a new corner building, faceted to follow the architect's curve, in a custom grey finish matched to the corrugated cladding, with a grand double entry.
Embassy of Tunisia, New York — Alutech multi-pane windows and glazed entrance doors for the double-height reception hall, installed into new steel framing during construction.
Every window and door we sell falls into one of three product lines — budget, standard, premium — sorted by whose components are in it. Alutech is a standard-line system: a European system house that designs and tests the profiles, with named hardware and glass specified by us as fabricator. Its base configurations serve multifamily projects where the budget is fixed; its top configurations — heavy-duty hardware, laminated or triple glass, custom colours, oversized sashes — are premium. We are certified to fabricate, install and service Alutech systems.
We fabricate Alutech windows, doors and storefront in our own shop from the system house’s extrusions and hardware, to shop drawings we produce from our survey. The complete W72 window and storefront package on 408 Lefferts Avenue, a new six-storey building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and the AW80-rated windows at 461 East New York Avenue are Alutech; the grey curved ribbon storefront at 2 Bushwick Avenue is a custom Alutech fabrication. Because we hold the certification, the warranty and the service are ours.
Send us the window or door schedule, or photographs of the openings with rough sizes, and tell us the building type and whether there is an architect, a co-op board or the Landmarks Commission involved. We come back with the series that fits, the glass and hardware named, a price, and the lead time. If a different system suits the job better we say so. We survey before fabrication, produce shop drawings for approval, fabricate or order to survey, and install with our own crews; for projects outside our installation area we supply by container. Alex GC is a certified Alutech fabricator and installer; we cut, assemble and glaze the system in our own shop on Staten Island.
A standard-line European system. Its base configurations price for multifamily budgets; with heavy-duty hardware, specialty glass and custom finishes it becomes premium.
The windows on 461 East New York Avenue carry an AW80 rating; thermal performance depends on the series and glass and is on the test reports we supply.
Six to twelve weeks from approved shop drawings for fabricated windows and doors.
Comparable sightlines and performance at a competitive price; the Alutech vs Cortizo comparison on this site sets them side by side.
